KOE will be celebrating Purim on Monday, February 25th. Maariv will start at 5:45 P.M. in the Chapel, followed by the general and women's Megilla readings at approximately 6 P.M. Our Purim Chagiga, which will include light food, music and a Purim Schpiel will follow Megilla reading; there is
a $5 charge for the Chagiga. Shacharit on Tuesday morning will begin promptly at 7:30 A.M. in the Board Room.

On Monday night, February 25, Hadar will hold a megillah reading, with
Maariv starting at 6 pm. We will meet at the Franciscan Community Center,
214 W. 97th St. on the south side of the street between Broadway and
Amsterdam, on the first floor. Please bring your own siddur.

Then at 9 pm, join us for a **rockin' Purim party** at El Taller Latino
Americano, 2710 Broadway, 3rd floor, between 103 and 104th St., above the Rite Aid. Admission is $10, which covers alcohol and a live band, The
Translation. (We are looking for a few volunteers to help us at the door -
volunteers get in free!: email egalminyan@hotmail.com). Below is a
description of the band:

The Translation: Jewish radical funk. The Translation plays a dance party
like no other, with funky covers of everything from Carlebach to the
Sugerhill Gang (think Hava Nagillah meets the Beastie Boys). Featuring live
sets by Bizmonides a.k.a. DJ Mohel, cuttin' it up on the wheels of steel.
